Which Labrador Puppy Toys should you buy?

When it comes to choosing Labrador Puppy Toys, you will be spoilt for choice. I remember taking my daughter to a large pet shop and we spend hours in there looking through all the different toys. When we finally came out of the shop we had a huge bag filled with all sorts of exciting stuff and a huge bill that made a big hole in my bank account.

Yes it is very easy to get carried away buying toys for your puppy and to top it all off we found that Loretta’s favourite toy was a cleaned out plastic bottle with the cap and all the parts of the seal removed, Yes this did happen.

So the first thing to remember when buying Labrador puppy toys is that they are 100% safe. To start with decided what your budget is going to have. Then you can start looking, apart from the bottle Loretta  loved her soft toss ring.

Loretta love this to fetch, play tug a war , and just teeth on. Some of the pieces around the sides make a crinkling sound so it was also an effective toy to use as a  distract. I found this very useful when she was chewing on something that she shouldn’t have been chewing. When it gets dirty you just toss it in the wash. This was a good soft toy and it lasted a long time. When your puppy  is teething it can easily tear holes in some plush toys, but this Labrador puppy toy was very durable.

The next Labrador Puppy Toy that I would recommend and this was a great toy if you want some peace and quite is a puppy Kong toy. You puppy will love this toy, not only is is fun for it so play fetch you can also put food inside it and you puppy will settle down and try and get the food out. Put some loose dried dog food / dog kibble inside and very lightly stop up the big end with a dog biscuit.  Your puppy will quickly learn how to pop the biscuit loose and then they will figure out that if they roll it around with their paw or nose that treats will come rolling out. These puppy kongs are great when your Labrador puppy is teething you can put it in the freazer and this has a cooling effect on their gums . If you go onto the Kong website they have lots of information and  Kong recipes you’ll find a variety of easy stuffing ideas.

One Toy that we bought for Loretta that she would play with for hours and always made us laugh because it looked so ridiculous was a Rubber Chicken Dog Toy. It still makes me smile every time I think about it, I really wished I had taken a picture. If you have a picture of your Labrador puppy with a rubber chicken dog toy please send it to me , I would love to put it on the site.

So to sum up buy 100% safe Labrador Puppy Toys and don’t buy to many, remember your Labrador puppy will grow and if the toys get too small or worn the need to be taken away as they are a danger to your puppy, you don’t want your puppy to choke.

I hope this has helped and I hope I have helped you save some money by not going mad when you go out shopping for your Labrador Puppy Toys.
