Points to Remember in Your Labrador Crate Training

If you have decided to use a puppy crate these are Points to Remember in your Labrador Crate Training.

A Lab Puppy crate should only be used for a limited time in the daytime, for example when you can not supervise your Lab puppy or if you have to go out on a short outing food shopping etc when you can’t take your puppy with you.
You must never use your puppy crate as a punishment.
Do not make a big fuss of your puppy when you are putting your Labrador puppy in his Lab Puppy crate.
Do not make a big fuss when you let your puppy out, just take him straight outside for him to go to the loo. This is an ideal way to start your Dogs Toilet Training.
Do not be tempted to keep checking on your Lab puppy when he is whining or barking otherwise your puppy will not settle.
Do not give up with the lab puppy crate because he wont settle. some puppies take to their crate straight away others don’t. The puppy will learn to love his crate, Labrador crate training is all about routine and staying calm it will pay dividends in the long term.
