AJ pulling on his lead try this I hope it helps.
If AJ starts pulling on the lead don't be tempted to pull him back, if the lead is tight then AJ will pull harder.
As soon as AJ's lead goes taut, stop, and then call him back to your side. reward him for coming back to you, then set off again giving him the command “Heel”
When he pulls ahead again, do exactly the same as you did before. I found that having a squeaky toy that Loretta was only allowed on her walks worked a treat. If she pulled ahead I would squeak the toy and as a reward she was allowed to have it. Then if she pulled again I would call her back and she would then get a treat and I would retrieve the toy to be used again.
In time, AJ will learn that pulling is counter-productive because he will keep having to stop, and not be able to explore the great outdoors.
